RenSaw tooth forms
A and AW teeth forms are mostly used on thin blades for doing fine work. Pitches usually range from 1 to 3mm and the teeh are sharp. The limited gullet space restricts those blades to applications requiring low levels of chip evacuation.
B and BW teeth forms are the most common teeth for cutting ferrous materials. With a bigger gullet, these teeth can be used to cut materials with larger cross-sections than can be cut with type A teeth. With type BW teeth, the teeth are alternatively beveled, breaking the chips into smaller pieces. This toothing is recommended when cutting tubing and bar sections up to 4mm.
HZ teeth have alternating high and low teeth. The high teeth are beveled on either side, thus breaking chips into three pieces. This toothing is recommended when cutting larger sections where good chip evacuation is essential.
BS toothed blades are used mostly when cutting tubing and have chip-breaker slots ground onto the teeth. The slots reduce chip size but ensure that these blades have twice the number of cutting edges of beveled blades. The increased number of edges give an improved finish on the cut component and less wear on the side of the blade. These blades generally require less regrinding operations when resharpening and tests show a marked improvement in cutting performance when compared to type BW and type HZ toothing.
